Andre Birote, a US attorney led a federal investigation into Armstrong’s situation, was reported to have said Lance shouldn’t be worried right now.
He said Armstrong isn’t completely excluded from prosecution, but his recent revelations with Oprah doesn’t really change anything for the moment. They’ve already made a decision a year ago and for the moment he hasn’t changed his point of view. “Clearly we will continue to monitor the situation but (the Oprah Interview) did not change my mind.”
As far as SCA Promotions wanting money returned, Armstrong’s attorney Tim Herman said Lance doesn’t intend to pay anything. He said to USA Today: “To my knowledge, no athlete has ever paid money.” He said Lance is ready to cooperate with a “Truth and Reconciliation Commission” or by other means.
