Last but not Least, Team BAHRAIN MERIDA lineup for Guangxi

BAHRAIN MERIDA Team looks forward to our last stage race in 2017 UCI World Tour calendar. From October 19th to 24th, Tour of Guangxi is a 6-stage race that leads us to one of the best famous tourist spots in China. We started from criterium race in Beihai, passing Qinzhou, Nanning, Liuzhou and end in Guilin, the race is 944 kilometers in total.

Flying all the way east to the southwest China, the first 3 stages suit perfectly for our sprinters, while the last 3 stages are relatively undulant terrain in hilly areas, including the mountain top finish at stage 4. The uphill section with nearly 10% gradient could be the most decisive part for GC contenders. After the longest stage 5 (212.2km), it is the last stage in Guilin to decide the winner of first edition Tour of Guangxi.

Comments from our sports director Philippe Mauduit: ” Tour of Guangxi is a new race in the international calendar and for his first edition is already in the World Tour which means almost all the best teams of the world will be there and try to score last points of 2017 season. Our team Bahrain Merida will go with full ambitions for stage win with riders who have performed well on past weeks, I’m thinking especially at Sonny and Niccolò, Jani will focus more on GC. Grega, Luka, Meiyin and Yukiya will have a free card to join breakaways and show in great manner our Team Bahrain Merida colors on the road.”
