Pau, Wednesday, 12th July – Marcel Kittel of Quick-Step Floors took his fifth stage victory as he outsprinted Dylan Groenewegen and Edvald Boasson Hagen in Pau. Chris Froome retained the yellow jersey ahead of the first Pyrenean stage to Peyragudes. Maciej Bodnar of bora-Hansgrohe was in the break for nearly 200 kilometers and then broke away with 23k to go. He held off the peloton until about 500 meters from the finish.
