Team Jumbo-Visma’s Tony Martin scored his first podium display on a Bianchi bike, riding Aquila CV to third in Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana’s opener, a 10,3-km ITT with start and finish in Orihuela (Spain), on Wednesday, February 6th. The German rider clocked 13:02, 7 seconds slower than winner Edvald Boasson Hagen and 2 seconds behind Ion Izagirre. Martin’s teammate Jos van Emden placed fifth in 13:05.
