Filip Maciejuk misjudged and tried to go around the peloton off the road. It was devastating for half the peloton except him physically. He rider ran out of road, hit a puddle and veered into the front row of the peloton and wiped out dozens of riders. Maciejuk was disqualified from the race afterwards. Alaphilippe, Wellens and many others were hurt.
