H20 Flex membrane for waterproof and windproof protection. Perfect fit to enhance aerodynamics and improve breathability: Extreme H20 is the answer, from September to March
Extreme H2O
When Autumn comes and mercury goes low, every rider questions himself about how many – and which – layers to wear. Protection from cold, but also water and wind, is a necessity, but at the same time, too thick and non-transpirant clothes can actually hamper the bike experience. Creating a jacket to get through Fall and Winter means pursuing a perfect balance between protection, fit and breathability. That’s the kind of mix Northwave put into its new Extreme H2O Jacket, ready to deal with rain and weather, in two different versions with the same technical and construction features: long sleeves, whose recommended temperature range stands between 5° and 15°C, and short sleeves, to use between 8° and 18°C.
To ensure protection as well as a perfect ergonomic fit, Extreme H2O relies on the H2O Flex membrane technology, the real deal for the new Northwave jacket. The four-way stretch membrane is integrated in the main 3-ply fabric, perfectly adapting to the body for maximum freedom of movement, while providing a shield against wind and water – up to 10.000 mm. More than that: its breathability eases the moisture’s wick, keeping the body dry also under effort.
The ergonomic concept is carried to the extreme thanks to the aero design, providing for superstretch feeling and second-skin fit: cold air stays outside, nor will it affect your ride. It’s a jacket, but fits like a race jersey: the ergonomically-shaped collar is also custom-designed for racing position, to avoid any drag effect.
Always careful to visibility and safety, Northwave located wide reflective inserts on slevees, front and read body to ensure 360° passive visibility. Designed to ride through weather, Extreme H20 has an extended back for added protection from spurts from the wet road.
Northwave Extreme H2O is available in black and yellow-fluo colors, at the price of $120 for the long-sleeve version, and $110 for the short-sleeve one.
