Northwave’s new products’ range at Eurobike goes well beyond shoes. The Italian company from Onigo di Pederobba (Treviso), reached an ideal match of water protection and aero performance with the Rainskin Shield jacket, projected to efficiently deal with wet conditions on rainy days.
NORTHWAVE RAINSKIN SHIELD – WATERPROOF AND AERO ARE NOT OPPOSITE ANYMORE
If you believe that water protection and aero performance are on two different sides of the World, maybe you should give new Northwave Rainskin Shield jacket a shot. The exclusive 2.5L fabric with four-way stretch H20 Flex membrane actually wraps the body like a second skin, working in perfect sync with it: in fact, the stretchy flex panels morph and adapt to the anatomy for unparalleled freedom of movement.
And, of course, there is the protection: a 10,000 mm waterproof shield, rapidly wicking sweat away from the skin to keep the body dry even in high-wattage situations.
The special inner printing process of Rainskin Shield is the pluri-awarded P4Dry™, combined with the S.Café® particle technology, which uses repurposed coffee grounds. Thanks to this technology, the printing achieves four different purposes: fast drying, odour control (up to 80% more), moisture condensation reduction by 30%, and it’s also eco-compatible, being made from recycled coffee grounds and oil.

The thinnest YKK waterproof zip available was chosen to minimize weight and size without compromising on quality. Also thanks to that, Rainskin Shield can be easily wrapped and carried in a smart and compact dedicated pouch.
The main liability of water protections is usually stitching – every piercing in the fabric opens the way for water: Northwave knows that, and employed an insulating taping technique that will prevent any penetration. In this way, Rainskin Shield will keep you dry – and also safe, thanks to the large reflective inserts on the back, front and sleeves, ensuring 360° visibility. And, of course, it will make you very, very fast.
Available only in anthracite color with reflex inserts, Rainskin Shield will be available in shops at 129,99€.
Northwave also proposes the new Rainskin jacket, with the same technology of Rainskin Shield, the main difference being the absence of the internal taping. The anthracite with reflex inserts will be available at 99,99€.
All the visitors will be able to Northwave’s novelties at A7 401 booth, until Sunday September 4th, and also fit and try in first person the effectiveness of the XFrame technology characterizing the new Extreme RR shoes.
