Northwave rising stars assault Doha World Champs

Consonni, Ganna, Minali and Pedersen the bright stars at the U23 road race scheduled on Thursday October 13th

Being the Elite road race is the most awaited event of the World Championships program, the U23 race represents a strong preview with many expectations. On Thursday October 13th, the international cycling’s raising stars will compete for the U23 rainbow jersey at the World Championships, in Doha (Qatar).

Last year Northwave grazed the victory with Simone Consonni runner-up in Richmond (Virginia, USA) behind Frenchman Kevin Ledanois: the U23 National Champion, in view of his upcoming professional career, will try to leave his mark.

Two more Northwave and Team Colpack’s riders Filippo Ganna and Riccardo Minali, while Dane Mads Pedersen (Stolting Service Group) will try to anticipate the bunch sprint taking advantage of his rouleur skills with the brand-new Northwave Extreme RR shoes.

Extreme RR (Road Race) is the most performing model ever produced by Northwave: a new design, a stiffer sole and, above all, the revolutionary XFrame® patented technology, finally eliminating for good the long-time issue of most of riders: the points of pressure of the upper on the foot. What makes Extreme RR a game changer is the combination of such ultra-soft and comfortable materials with a redesigned closure that sets new benchmarks in terms of fit uniformity around the entire foot.
