PAEZ 2ND, LONGO 7TH IN SOLID DOLOMITI SUPERBIKE DISPLAY

i.idroDRAIN-Bianchi Team enjoyed another good performance on Saturday July 12th at the Dolomiti Superbike, demanding 119 km marathon race around Villabassa (Bolzano, Northern Italy). Colombian Leonardo Paez was a strong runner-up on the day, surrendering only to Ilias Periklis after managing to stay at the sharp end for most of the race on his Bianchi Methanol 27SL.

Paez paired with Kristian Kynek (who eventually finished third) to bridge back on Periklis and his teammate Ferreira after their attack on the biggest climb of the day, and went on to keep his streak of excellent results alive.

Paez’ teammate, Italian Tony Longo, also provided a solid performance, closing 7th after sitting in the restricted favorites’ group until deep in the race on Methanol 27SL as well.

GHIROTTO: “ANOTHER STRONG TEAM DISPLAY”
“It was another successful day for us, and I feel very satisfied – Team Manager Massimo Ghirotto stated afterwards. “Paez was very strong once again, and added another important result to an impressive season so far. We are also happy about Longo, who is more and more consistently getting good results is the top events on the Marathon calendar.”
