TX Active-Bianchi‘s Gerhard Kerschbaumer on Bianchi Methanol SL2 placed second at World Cup XCO stage-5 in Mont Sainte-Anne (Canada) on Saturday, June 23rd. Despite of two crashes, 2011 World Cup’s winner crossed the finish line 34 seconds behind Dutch Michiel Van der Heijden, preceding German Markus Schulte-Luenzum.
In the general classification Kerschbaumer recovered 70 points to Alexandre Gehbauer and Ondrej Cink, first and second overall respectively: now TX Active-Bianchi’s U23 rider is fifth with 247 points.
TX Active-Bianchi’s Leonardo Paez on Bianchi Methanol 29SL took an outstanding victory at Sella Ronda Hero, major Marathon race with start and arrival in Selva di Val Gardena (Northern Italy) on Saturday, June 23rd.
Paez covered the 82 km demanding course in 4:33:16, with a 3:10 advantage on Italian Mirko Celestino and almost 7 minutes on Massimo De Bertolis.
Both Kerschbaumer and Paez will be in the action at London Olympics, as well as their team-mate Stephane Tempier: TX Active-Bianchi’s riders aim to stand out at the 2012 Games.
