In Madeira (Portugal), Enduro World Series’ round 3 confirms the Northwave supremacy in the women’s category. Oton third in the men’s race
Cécile Ravanel vs Isabeau Courdurier is again the main duel of the 2017 Enduro World Series. Round 3 of the most important World Enduro challenge, staged in Madeira,Portugal, on May 13th and 14th, Rotorua (New Zealand) and Derby (Australia) confirmed the first two rounds of supremacy of the Northwave athletes in the women’s category.
Defending champion Ravanel (Commençal Vallnord Enduro) lived up to the predictions, edging the stage ahead of Courdurier (Team Sunn), the winner in Derby five weeks ago, whilst Israel’s Noga Korem completed the podium. Thanks to the second seasonal win, Cécile Ravanel strengthened her first place in the overall standings (1,150 points) ahead of Ines Thoma and Katy Winson, second and third respectively with 970 and 830 points.
On the podium in the men’s race was Damien Oton (Devinci Global Racing), third behind stage winner Greg Callaghan and Martin Maes.
