Reto Indergand takes stage win and lead at Swiss Bike Cup

BMC’s athlete clinched victory in Andermatt (Switzerland) with Northwave Extreme XC. Linda Indergand third in the Women’s race. Maxime Marotte celebrated in the Coupe de France VTT


BMC Mountain Bike Racing Team’s Reto Indergand powered to Swiss Bike Cup lead with a stunning display in the round 5 in Andermatt (Switzerland), on Sunday June 25th. The 25-year-old Swiss athlete, equipped with Northwave Extreme XC shoes, claimed a prestigious win, ahead of Martin Fanger (+0.17) and Russian Anton Sintsov (+0.53).

Thanks to the result obtained in Andermatt, Indergand conquered the overall leadership with 276 points followed by Fanger (246) and Adri Frischknecht (237), with two stages to go.

In the Women’s category, Linda Indergand (Focus XC Team) placed third behind winner Sina Frei and runner-up, Russian Irina Kalentyeva, whilst another biker equipped with Extreme XC shoes, Kathrin Stirnemann (Radon XC Team), finished eighth. Indergand now occupies the second place in the GC with 300 points behind leader Frei (315). Third place for Ramona Forchini (228) ahead of Northwave’s Stirnemann (226).

MAROTTE WINS IN LONS LE SAUNIER
Maxime Marotte (Cannondale Factory Racing) clinched victory in Coupe de France VTT’s stage 4, in Lons le Saunier, on Sunday June 25th. The 30-year-old Frenchman preceded on the finish line Hugo Drechou, Victor Koretzky and Stephane Tempier with his Northwave Extreme XC shoes.
