Supremacy in Germany with Flückiger and Spitz

Double win in Heubach’s Bundesliga stage for the athletes. Kathrin Stirnemann dominates the Rocky Mountain MTB Marathon in Italy.

Mathias Flückiger (Radon XC Team) and Sabine Spitz, both equipped by Northwave with Extreme XC shoes, were winners in their respective categories at the Bundesliga HC event in Heubach (Germany), on Sunday April 30th.

In the men’s race, Flückiger dominated his opponents crossing the finish line with 1’40” on Frenchman Jordan Sarrou, while Swiss Florian Vogel (Focus XC Team) completed the day’s podium ahead of the European Champion Julien Absalon and his teammate Marcel Guerrini. Tenth place for Fabian Giger (Kross Racing Team).

In the women’s category, Spitz confirmed to be on top of the MTB international movement preceding Ukrainian Yana Belomoina and Dane Annika Langvad. Four more Northwave bikers entered the day’s top-10, Jolanda Neff (Kross Racing Team), Alessandra Keller (Radon XC Team), Malene Degn (Team Ghost) and her teammate Elizabeth Osl, fourth, sixth, eighth and ninth respectively.

In addition, Kathrin Stirnemann (Radon XC Team) celebrated at the Rocky Mountain MTB Marathon in Riva del Garda (Trento, Northern Italy). The 28-year-old Swiss athlete preceded by 3’36” Silke Ulrich. Third place for Katja Walz at 10’10”.
