For the fourth time in the last five editions, Team Sky marked a wonderful overall win at the Tour of the Alps. Russian Pavel Sivakov brought on the top spot of the final podium, preceding in the GC his teammate Tao Geoghegan Hart and Italian Vincenzo Nibali (Bahrein-Merida). Sivakov gave Team Sky a prestigious success in the last stage under the current name.
Fausto Masnada dominated the fifth and last stage (Caldaro/Kaltern-Bolzano/Bozen, 147,8 Km), repeating the win grabbed two days ago in Baselga di Piné. Androni-Sidermec’s athlete preceded on the finish line Colombian Carlos Julian Quintero (Manzana Postobon) and Simone Velasco (Neri Sottoli Selle Italia KTM).
