Team Bianchi Countervail’s Frenchman completed the race with a 20-second gap from the winner Bertolini
Stephane Tempier (Team Bianchi Countervail) placed fourth in his seasonal debut at Verona MTB International, XC race held in Verona (Italy) on Sunday, February 25th. The Frenchman completed his race in 1.24:19, 20 seconds behind the winner Gioele Bertolini. Andrea Tiberi and Martin Loo rounded out the podium. Tempier’s teammate Nadir Colledani finished seventh, over 2 minutes behind the winner. Marco Aurelio Fontana, was ninth.
“The first seasonal race is always hard, I felt the typical debut pressure. It was cold and not easy to find the good feelings on saddle. Anyway, for me it was a good test and I’m happy with my shape: the race was fast, like a CX race. Now I look forward to next in Spain” Tempier commented. Team Bianchi Countervail will come back to race at Internacionales XCO Chelva in Chelva on Sunday, March 4th.
Chiara Teocchi finished fifth in the Women Open race, topped by Eva Lechner: Team Bianchi Countervail’s athlete got to finish line after one hour, 15 minutes and 15 seconds.
