RECONNAISSANCE OF THE COBBLED SECTORS
On Tuesday 9 April, like every year, Christian Prudhomme and Thierry Gouvenou will reconnoitre every cobbled sector in the race with a view to inspecting the sectors before the peloton hits the cobblestones. Each sector will be assigned a difficulty rating from one to five stars to be announced later today.

TEAMS SET TO RECONNOITRE THE RACE
The teams will scout the course on Thursday 11 and Friday 12. Over these two days, the 25 teams selected to take part in Paris-Roubaix will reconnoitre some of the cobbled sectors to get their set-up just right. From Peter Sagan and Arnaud Démare to Greg Van Avermaet and Nikki Terpstra, the heroes of Roubaix will have time to get reacquainted with the Hell of the North.
PETER SAGAN’S NAME ADDED TO THE SHOWERS
The winner of the 2018 edition will inaugurate the shower bearing his name in the legendary changing room of Vélo Club de Roubaix in the afternoon of Thursday 11. It is an honour reserved for the champions of the Queen of Classics.
PARIS-ROUBAIX CHALLENGE
Saturday 13th of April – After Paris-Nice Challenge, it is on the “Hell of the North” that the competitors will offer themselves a new challenge. Amateur cyclists can also face this legendary race on the eve of the professional peloton’s entry into action. Near 7,000 competitors of 67 nationalities will compete in one of the three proposed distances :70 km, 145 km and 172 km (to which will join the winner of Paris-Roubaix in 1994, Andreï Tchmil)

ENTER THE HELL OF THE NORTH
From Compiègne all the way to the Roubaix Velodrome, all the viewing areas (see practical information) are good to cheer on the pros. The race starts at 11 am and is expected to finish around 5 pm. Come and experience the legend of Paris-Roubaix!
