Tinkoff launches special edition “La Datcha” kit for the Tour de France

Fans of the Tinkoff team will see something different at the Tour de France from Saturday, as the La Datcha logo and name are added to the Sportful jerseys of all nine riders. This year, the Tinkoff Tour de France clothing will again stand out for its style as well as its BodyFit technology. Featuring all of the design excellence expected from Sportful, it is the result of the strong and close partnership with the team.

The addition of La Datcha is a celebration of the Tour de France visiting the region of the first two locations in the Tinkoff team owner, Oleg Tinkov’s collection of luxury chalets. Based in Val Thorens and Courchevel, the first two in the collection will be available for rent starting this November. Offering unrivaled amenities and services as well as state-of-the-art facilities in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations, the La Datcha chalets allow guests to partake in the authentic luxury lifestyle. Two more chalets, in Forte dei Marmi in Italy and Astrakhan in the Russian region of Volga will be completed in the summer of 2017. Glen McKibben, Brand Manager of Sportful who helped design and product the team’s kit, said of the Tour de France edition: “Sportful are proud to be trusted partners of the Tinkoff team, it’s always an honour to see our clothing performing at the highest level on the athletes of the Tour de France. With Tinkoff’s BodyFit Pro kit we’ve worked closely with the team to make sure they have the perfect clothing for all their racing & training requirements. We look forward to seeing some more great victories in the next few weeks!”

Tinkoff General Manager, Stefano Feltrin, added: “Our new Tour de France kit is a nice sign of thanks to our title sponsor Tinkoff Bank and to Oleg Tinkov for his support over the past years. The Tour de France is the biggest showcase within our sport and so racing with the La Datcha name on our riders’ jerseys will put it right in the spotlight. Now all we have to do is get the jersey onto the top step of the podium.”

Tinkoff debuted the kit this Thursday at the official Tour de France presentation, ahead of the Grand Départ on Saturday. The Tinkoff line-up for this year’s race was announced on Tuesday by Oleg Tinkov himself at the Tinkoff Bank headquarters in Moscow.
